What is bi-xenon projector?

Bi-xenon refers to a projector design that could deliver a low beam and hi beam in a single xenon light source. It uses a retractable shied inside the projector that is controlled by a solenoid activator. When the projector is at low beam, the cut-off shield inside the projector remains in place and when the hi-beam is activated, the cut-off shield drops (which is pulled from the solenoid).

Advantages?
The advantages of using a bi-xenon projector are:
-sharp cut-oof on low beams
-controlled light output (hi/low beams)
-doesn't produce glare and blind incoming traffic (low beams)
-gives immediate response when switching from hi beams and low beams
